Your First Visit
One of our chiropractic assistants will become your personal assistant when you arrive, greet you by name and give you a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities. If you’ve already completed your admitting paperwork, great! If not, we will ask that you do so before meeting with either Dr. Gibson or Dr. Pope. Please plan to spend approximately 45 minutes with us on your First Visit if you’ve already completed your paperwork (If not please come 15 minutes early).
The purpose of your consultation is to discuss your health concerns and health goals and see if our office is the right place for you. You will be asked for a great deal of information, not just about the pain or complaint that may have brought you, but about your past health history. Your details will remain confidential at all times. If it looks promising, we will recommend that we proceed with a thorough examination to help us identify how we can help you the most. Comfortable scrubs will be made available for you to wear during your examination.
Our practice members often comment on how thorough our examination is, compared with other practitioners they’ve consulted. Our goal is to determine what areas of your spine and nervous system are involved and related to your health concerns. We utilize state of the art equipment called the Insight Subluxation Station which objectively evaluates patterns of nerve function. It is painless, non-invasive, scientifically sound and easy to understand. We will also perform a hands-on chiropractic examination to help us obtain relevant and pertinent clinical information. If necessary, we have x-ray facilities on-site.
After your consultation and assessment, we will book your 2nd visit when you will receive your Report of Findings and Recommendations.
